This is a safety razor. There are many like this, but this one is mine. The Edwin Jagger DE86 in black has been in my hands for a few days and I have some thoughts.
I used the supplied Feather blade (thanks for that). I have never used a feather blade before but I can say this, it is VERY mild. As a daily shaver that is nice because i don’t usually have much hair on my face in the morning. I will add this though, I am able to shave quickly but it does skip over a few hairs here and there. I have tried my other go to blades and have better results from them. During the winter months I do a single pass as to not irritate my sensitive skin any more than cold dry conditions outside.
So far I am very impressed with this razor. The handle is smooth but didn’t feel unwieldy. The weight is not very balanced but the weight is in the head which adds enough pressure to your face to get a quick clean shave.
It’s very easy on the eyes as well.
